If you aren’t familiar with it, Angry Birds is a hugely popular mobile game developed by the folks over at Rovio (to whom I apologize for *ahem* borrowing the feature image). The player tries to shoot [angry] birds from a slingshot into various fortifications in order to crush the evil green pigs. It’s a great game to play when you have a couple of minutes.
Sometimes you come across something so amazing that it must be shared. This is probably one of the coolest things that I’ve ever seen. One of my co-workers sent me the link a couple of day ago. It makes me: 1.) want to play Angry Birds, and 2.) want to eat cake!
This is probably the cutest thing that I’ve ever seen. I love how the blocks actually fall when the birds hit them, and how the boy wants to use a high-angle trajectory for the birds but it keeps shooting them way away from the fortifications. Good stuff. It shows what a powerful connection that people can have with the games that they love. Or at least their desire to throw things at green pigs.
I want to include a gaming crafts section in this re-organization of the blog. I want to have a place to highlight the really cool and creative stuff that gamers do to celebrate their gaminess. Like my zergling hat, or like this Angry Birds birthday cake. I know there must be more stuff out there. I just need to keep on the lookout for it.
